How you can become involved
The Twenty-one Eleven Endowment
The activities of the 2111 Foundation for Exploration ultimately depend upon the support and sense of enterprise of individual and corporate benefactors.
Every donation is valued, whatever the scale. Contributions can be made in a number of ways.
Awards can be set up by individuals or corporations which are administered separately or as one of the standard annual grants. They may be named after the benefactor. (e.g., The Betty Adamson Expedition Award). This is an excellent way to have one's name attached to the contribution each year. The terms of the award may be defined by the benefactor.
Donations can be also made to the continuity of our annual grants as below:
Expedition Donor - £1- £1,500 or $1 - $2,000
Pioneer Donor - £1,500 - £7,500 or $2,000 - $10,000
Foundation Donor - greater than £7,500 or $10,000
For all donations greater than £2,000 or $2,500, the benefactor will receive a Foundation plaque acknowledging their support for the Foundation with the statement "for contributions to fulfilling our vision of the Earth as an oasis in space cared for by a space-faring civilization".
Benefactors might also consider making a named contribution to the Foundation's long-term Mars Exploration Awards, which will honor future human exploration of the Red Planet.
To make a contribution to the Foundation you can contact the Executive Director (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss a donation. Confidentiality is upheld in discussions with potential donors.
Donations are placed into a UK-managed non-profit endowment fund, which supports our activities. In any given year 7% or less of income is spent on administration. The remainder directly supports Foundation activities as well as the growth of the endowment principal. Donations may be tax deductible.
